At KingsGate Child Development Center, it is our goal to pour into the youngest generation, one child at a time. Every decision is aimed to be made from a Christ-centered standpoint. We would love for you to be a part of that. We are seeking vibrant, proactive, and experienced teachers to join our team!

Our standard at KingsGate is not to “babysit”, but to help each child grow to their fullest potential through proactive engagement (i.e. songs, guided play, interactive reading, encouragement, and redirection).

1. Being Proactive - Proactive engagement is a standard throughout everything we do. We are "self-starters" who do not need to be told to help among basic needs. We are eager to assist the lead teachers, kids, and overall KingsGate team.

2. Being a Team Player - Having this mindset & attitude requires the ability to quickly adjust to the evolving needs of the center. Our environment here is to encourage, champion, and cheer each other and the students on.

3. Professional, Reliable, and Experienced - This job post is for serious applicants who can commit to a work schedule and maintain professionalism while building relationship throughout the center. We are looking for teachers who have at least 3 years of experience of working with children, preferably within a group setting. It is also important for this position to lead well with a positive mindset, which will impact the overall environment of the classroom.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support staff are supervised by teachers and provide additional educational support to children. Their roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring children's safety by constantly supervising them through sight and sound
  • Implementing classroom routines and expectations
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and execution
  • Adhere to all sanitation guidelines and health procedures
  • Helping children meet their social, intellectual, emotional, and physical needs based on their development
  • Maintaining a positive mindset and supporting a welcoming environment through the language that is used to the children, about them, and around all who enter the classroom.
  • Maintaining classroom materials, equipment, and arranged spaces
  • Creating an inviting, pleasant, and tidy atmosphere for children, staff, and parents

Qualifications

- Must be 18 years or older

- Have prior experience in working with children

- Must have a supportive and warm attitude towards children and those around them

- Readily accept supervision to improve your work performance

- Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

- Clear background check and fingerprinting

Job Types (in person): Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Full-time: 9 hour shift, with 1 hour break

Part-Time: 8am - 2pm, 11am - 3pm, or 3 - 6pm (alternative shifts available to discuss)

Seasonal: December 2025 to March 2026

*Continued employment offered dependent on job performance*

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
