Zion Lutheran has a growing childcare center including infants - pre 4. Our search is for strong candidates who interact with children and nurture growth. Zion is a welcoming space for children, families, and staff. We search for candidates who are leaders, energetic, willing to learn, collaborate with others, and love children as Christ loves us.

Responsibilities:

• Help children grow in a Christ centered atmosphere
• Communicate in a positive way with parents, staff, and children
• Respectfully work as a team with co-workers, parents, and children
• Follow all State Licensing rules and guidelines
• Be flexible in working positively with children of all ages, up to 12 years
• Be available between 6:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Zion Lutheran - Bay City admits students of any faith. For parents and students who do not have a church home, we invite you to attend our Saturday or Sunday worship services.

Requirements :

• Comprehensive background check
• Lead Teacher qualifications completed
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• State licensing classes (ex. safe sleep training, bloodborne pathogens)
• Transcripts of completed courses
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Fingerprinted
• References

Essentials Duties:

• Responsible for creating a caring Christian atmosphere
• Document and share the daily lessons and Schedule
• Provide a vibrant inviting classroom with well-planned learning activities and age appropriate lessons
• Support educational needs, learning styles, and develop individual learning plans
• Foster a positive work environment with staff and families
• Provide consistent and open communication, timely feedback
• Demonstrate professionalism at all times
• Set goals and inspire students to achieve high quality results
• Follow all policies and procedures
• Adhere to all State Licensing guidelines
