Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's developmental needs and communicate progress clearly and compassionately.
- Lead classroom activities that promote physical movement, creativity, and cognitive development while ensuring safety and child welfare.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate
- Bilingual preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
- Pediatric CPR/First aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Experience with special education programs or working with children requiring additional support is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or degree in early childhood education, preschool teaching credentials, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare standards, private school environments, and standardized testing procedures.
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
