Lead Teacher for ECE

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher for Early Childhood Education (ECE) to inspire young learners and foster their holistic development. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, design engaging curricula, and create a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative, developmentally appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles.
  • Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with families to support child welfare, communicate progress, and address individual needs related to special education or early intervention programs.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and childcare quality.
  • Plan lessons that integrate standardized testing preparation where appropriate, ensuring each child's developmental milestones are met through tailored instruction.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress using observation techniques and documentation to inform lesson planning and individualized support strategies.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in early childhood education with a strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children across different age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, colleagues, and external specialists in child welfare or tutoring roles.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Experience working in daycare centers or private schools with a focus on preschool experience and classroom experience in early childhood settings.
