Lead Teacher for Infants/Toddler classroom

Learning Steps Day Care Center is looking for a Lead Teacher to work with children ages 1-2 years old. Candidate must have Bachelor or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and minimum 2 years experience. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment where young children can thrive and develop essential skills for their future.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Infants/Toddlers classroom. In this vital role, you will create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development. Your leadership will inspire young learners through innovative lesson planning, curriculum development, and compassionate care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children’s growth while working within a supportive team committed to excellence in early childhood education. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating early intervention strategies and literacy education techniques
  • Foster a nurturing environment that supports physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children
  • Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management and classroom management skills to ensure a positive learning atmosphere
  • Plan and execute age-appropriate lessons that promote curiosity, exploration, and learning across multiple domains including math, physical education, and Montessori methods
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education needs or accommodations
  • Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress, assessments, and standardized testing results when applicable
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and uphold child welfare standards at all times
  • Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments
  • Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention practices, and literacy education.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a supportive learning environment
  • Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers is preferred
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
