Lead Teacher for Infants/Toddler classroom

Learning Steps Day Care Center is looking for a Lead Teacher to work with children ages 1-2 years old. Candidate must have Bachelor or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and minimum 2 years experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Infants/Toddlers classroom. In this vital role, you will create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development. Your leadership will inspire young learners through innovative lesson planning, curriculum development, and compassionate care. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating early intervention strategies and literacy education techniques
• Foster a nurturing environment that supports physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children
• Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management and classroom management skills to ensure a positive learning atmosphere
• Plan and execute age-appropriate lessons that promote curiosity, exploration, and learning across multiple domains including math, physical education, and Montessori methods
• Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education needs or accommodations
• Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress, assessments, and standardized testing results when applicable
• Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and uphold child welfare standards at all times
• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention practices, and literacy education.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members
• Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics while fostering a supportive learning environment
• Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers is preferred
• Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
