Lead Teacher (Infant-PreK)

Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and energetic Lead Teachers to guide and inspire infants through Pre-K children here at our Quality First Rated center. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational atmosphere that promotes childhood development and learning. Your leadership will ensure that effective classroom management aligns with the Arizona Early Learning Standards, support individual child needs, and promote social-emotional growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young children’s lives while collaborating with dedicated staff and families to create a thriving learning community.

Duties

  • Implement Learning Beyond Paper curricula that incorporates literacy education, math, physical education, and child development.
  • Lead classroom activities focused on early intervention strategies, behavior management, and classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and social skills.
  • Collaborate with families, specialists in Child Development, and early intervention providers to tailor educational plans that meet each child's unique needs.
  • Manage daily classroom operations including care routines, lesson planning, and maintaining a safe, clean environment aligned with all state and county standards.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to document progress, prepare reports on childhood development milestones.
  • Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent implementation of curriculum and classroom management strategies.

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience working with children from infancy through Pre-K age groups in early childhood education settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or other specialized subjects such as literacy or math.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and child welfare practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
  • Prior experience in daycare or preschool settings that emphasizes classroom management and child-centered teaching approaches.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
