Lead Teacher - Two Year Old Room

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, faith-centered Lead Teacher to guide and nurture children in our Twos classroom. In this role, you will create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where our youngest learners can thrive. You will work both independently and in partnership with a classroom assistant to support each child's growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for two-year-olds.
• Observe and monitor each child's developmental progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment consistent with our school's Christian values.
• Collaborate with and provide direction to a classroom assistant during shared hours.
• Assist children with toilet training and diaper changes as needed, following health and hygiene protocols.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's growth, milestones, and daily experiences.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or related setting.
• Genuine passion for working with toddlers and commitment to their development.
• Alignment with the faith-based mission and values of our school.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with support staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass a background check and meet all Arizona DHS childcare licensing requirements.

Preferred:

• One or more years of experience in an early childhood education setting.
• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
