Horton Interiors is seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Designer to join our team. This role is focused on the technical execution of interior projects, translating design concepts, layouts, and 3D visuals into accurate, fully coordinated shop drawings ready for flawless implementation on site.

The ideal candidate is meticulous, detail-oriented, and deeply knowledgeable about interior design and fit-out processes. You will serve as the technical reference point for the team, ensuring that designs are practical, constructible, and executed without errors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce and review detailed technical and shop drawings based on tender documents, layouts, and 3D visuals.

2. Verify all design inputs and ensure accurate translation into drawings ready for construction.

3. Act as the go-to technical authority for design queries and execution challenges.

4. Coordinate with interior designers, 3D artists, and project managers to resolve technical issues and clarify design intent.

5. Identify and resolve discrepancies between design intent, technical feasibility, and site requirements.

6. Submit drawings for authority approvals and revise as required.

7. Provide technical guidance to other designers when needed to ensure consistent quality and accuracy.

8. Ensure compliance with materials specifications, joinery details, building codes, and project standards.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Technical Designer within the interior design and fit-out industry (UAE experience preferred).

2. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other technical design tools.

3. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce precise, constructible drawings.

4. Strong understanding of interior design processes and the ability to translate designs into accurate shop drawings.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to foresee and resolve potential execution issues.

6. Ability to coordinate effectively with designers, engineers, and contractors.

7. Experience providing guidance or mentoring to other technical staff is a plus.
