What This Role Involves
This position requires someone who understands WordPress development deeply and can confidently manage projects, communicate with clients, and guide junior and mid-level developers.

Required Technical Expertise:
We are looking for someone who has:

• 4–5+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
• Strong experience in custom plugin development and custom theme development
• Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, actions, filters, template hierarchy
• Strong command of PHP, OOP, data structures, and clean coding practices
• Experience with API integrations, WooCommerce, membership systems, CRM integrations
• Knowledge of database structures, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, deployments, and staging setups
• Ability to review code, enforce standards, and guide developers
• Understanding of UI/UX workflows and builder tools (Elementor/Divi/Bricks) is a plus
• Experience mentoring and guiding junior developers

Project Management & Leadership Skills

• Experience leading or managing development teams
• Ability to create project plans, break down scope, and assign tasks
• Strong understanding of timelines, estimations, and sprint delivery
• Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
• Skilled in coordinating with designers, developers, and QA
• Familiarity with tools like Trello, Jira, ClickUp, Asana
• Strong documentation, reporting, and planning skills
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve blockers

Client Communication

• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Ability to handle meetings with international clients
• Confidence in explaining technical details in simple language
• Ability to manage expectations and maintain professional communication
• Comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the WordPress development team
• Assign tasks and guide junior/mid developers
• Review code for quality, security, and performance
• Plan and manage projects from start to finish
• Convert client requirements into clear technical tasks
• Present weekly/daily project updates to clients
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and QA to ensure smooth delivery
• Maintain organized project boards (Trello, Jira, ClickUp)
• Ensure deployments, testing, documentation, and handovers are completed
• Identify risks early and keep the project on track
