Job Summary:
Swipe Savvy is hiring a hands-on Lead Technical Support & Installation Specialist to own frontline support and deployment of our merchant services and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
This role is not just a desk position—you will be actively involved in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting POS hardware, payment devices, and merchant integrations. You will also serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues and help establish support standards as we scale.
As a startup, we need someone who can operate with urgency, solve problems end-to-end, and work directly with merchants to ensure systems are live, stable, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Support & Escalations
- Serve as the lead escalation point for complex POS, payment processing, and hardware issues
- Troubleshoot issues across terminals, gateways, networks, and merchant environments
- Resolve issues quickly with a strong focus on minimizing merchant downtime
Installations & Deployments
- Perform on-site and in-office configuration of POS systems and payment devices
- Handle device setup, provisioning, testing, and go-live support
- Ensure all installations meet operational and payment processing requirements
Merchant Support
- Provide direct support to merchants for day-to-day technical and operational issues
- Assist with onboarding new merchants and ensuring smooth activation
- Maintain a professional, solutions-oriented experience in all interactions
Operations & Process Improvement
- Help define and improve support workflows, documentation, and response standards
- Identify recurring issues and work with internal teams to resolve root causes
- Support internal coordination between engineering, operations, and onboarding
Team Leadership
- Act as a working lead—not just oversight, but active participation in support and installs
- Assist in training new support team members as the team grows
Qualifications:
- Experience in merchant services, payment processing, or POS systems (required)
- Strong hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and installations
- Familiarity with payment terminals, gateways, and network configurations
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across software and hardware environments
- Strong communication skills when working directly with merchants
- Highly organized with attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes
- Ability to work in-office full-time
