Lead Testing & Commissioning Manager – Power (ID#6372)

We are seeking a Lead Testing & Commissioning Manager to join our Power division in Rochester, NY. This position plays a vital role in managing and executing commissioning activities for high-voltage substation projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead, and execute testing and commissioning of protection, control, SCADA, and automation systems
• Oversee high-voltage apparatus testing, relay settings validation, and outage coordination
• Review drawings, test procedures, and ensure as-built documentation accuracy
• Support installation and troubleshooting during construction phases
• Manage safety protocols, energization planning, and compliance with NPCC/NERC/OSHA standards
• Supervise final commissioning documentation, reporting, and as-left records

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (ABET-accredited preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in commissioning, testing, and field engineering
• Strong expertise in protection & control systems, SCADA, and substation construction
• Proficiency in tools such as Doble Protection Suite, Aspen OneLiner, and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850)
• OSHA 30 and First Aid/AED certification preferred
