Lead Testing & Commissioning Manager – Power (ID#6381)

We are looking for a Lead Testing & Commissioning Manager to join our growing Power team in Binghamton, NY. This position will manage and execute commissioning activities for complex high-voltage substation projects, ensuring top-tier safety, quality, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute detailed commissioning plans, outage strategies, and test documentation
• Lead testing of protection, control, automation, SCADA, and HV equipment systems
• Review and interpret drawings, technical standards, and test procedures
• Supervise construction and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with codes and standards
• Troubleshoot system issues and validate protection logic, interlocks, and communication networks
• Prepare final commissioning reports, as-left settings, and documentation packages
• Collaborate with field, engineering, and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient energization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (ABET-accredited preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in testing, commissioning, and field engineering
• Strong knowledge of relay protection, control systems, SCADA, and network security
• Experience with substation construction, testing, and startup
• Familiarity with relevant standards (NPCC, NERC, OSHA, NEC)
• Proficiency with tools such as Doble Protection Suite, Aspen OneLiner, Wireshark, and Microsoft Office
• OSHA 30 and First Aid/AED certifications preferred
