Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler (18-24 months) Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early development stages. In this role, you will lead a dynamic classroom environment, and implementing the Montessori curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a safe, stimulating space where toddlers can explore, learn, and thrive. As a leader in early childhood education, you will collaborate with families and team members to ensure each child's individual needs are met with care and professionalism.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental milestones, including literacy education, motor skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Lead daily activities such as storytime, music, physical education, and hands-on learning experiences that foster early childhood development.
- Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing when applicable; communicate findings with families regularly.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization while maintaining high standards of childcare and classroom management.
- Collaborate with special education professionals and early intervention specialists to support children with additional learning needs or behavioral challenges.
- Engage in ongoing lesson planning that incorporates Montessori methods or other innovative educational approaches to enhance learning outcomes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers aged 18-24 months.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies for early learners.
- Proven ability to work effectively with children in daycare or preschool settings; familiarity with classroom experience is essential.
- Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists; ability to clearly document progress and provide feedback.
- Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention programs is a plus.
- Competence in classroom management tools and methods to maintain an organized learning environment; experience with standardized testing or assessments is advantageous.
- Passion for early childhood education with a focus on fostering growth through learning, using the Montessori Method.
