Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers
  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
  • Lead daily activities including playtime, arts and crafts, storytime, and sensory experiences to promote holistic growth
  • Monitor individual progress and communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and milestones
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to plan special events or themed activities that enrich the learning experience
  • Apply behavior management techniques to guide positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in a daycare or classroom setting
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead activities confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
  • Experience with behavior management strategies suitable for young children
  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments that support diverse needs including infants care or working with individuals with disabilities
