Lead Toddler Educator

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Toddler Educator to inspire and guide young learners during their critical early years. In this dynamic role, you will oversee classroom activities, develop engaging curricula tailored to toddlers’ developmental needs, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate lessons focused on literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum materials that incorporate Montessori principles, special education strategies, and early intervention techniques to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Manage classroom activities to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and independence among toddlers.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality childcare practices and classroom management.
  • Monitor each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing where applicable; communicate findings with families and team members effectively.
  • Enforce behavior management strategies that promote positive reinforcement while respecting individual differences and promoting child welfare.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, student progress reports, incident reports, and compliance records in accordance with licensing requirements.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories, toddler care practices, and classroom management techniques.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development with expertise in literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Strong background working with children in daycare settings or private schools with preschool experience preferred.
  • Ability to implement special education strategies and early intervention programs tailored for diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, team members, and external specialists effectively.
  • Skilled in behavior management techniques that foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
  • Proficient in lesson planning, standardized testing administration, tutoring strategies, and child welfare practices.
