Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow through play, exploration, and structured activities. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for developing age-appropriate lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and fostering positive relationships with students and their families.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning objectives.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring all students receive the attention they require.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate findings to parents or guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices in teaching.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets health and safety standards.
- Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication about their child's development and classroom activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Prior preschool or daycare experience is essential; experience working with infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
