Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting. This role offers an opportunity to positively impact children's growth and learning during their formative years, fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for preschoolers. Candidates with experience in special education, behavior management, and classroom management are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good conduct.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering (for infants/toddlers), and transitions.
  • Incorporate inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, supporting their unique developmental requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and other relevant documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, caregiving, and classroom management.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or similar settings is essential.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience with infants, toddlers, and children with special needs is preferred.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and social skills among children.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, guardians, colleagues, and children.
  • Ability to create engaging activities that support learning through play and exploration.
  • Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with children who have disabilities or special needs is a plus.
