Lead Toddler Teacher

The French School of Austin – École Jean-Jacques Rousseau – is a 100% French immersion preschool dedicated to fostering a love of learning in young children. Our multidisciplinary curriculum connects classroom experiences to children’s lives inside and outside school, stimulating their natural curiosity and supporting holistic development. We are seeking passionate, native French-speaking professionals to join our dynamic team and bring our curriculum to life.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a qualified preschool teacher with experience in early childhood education, particularly with toddlers. Candidates with a degree in Early Childhood Education or related fields, and those comfortable working with a range of ages, are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and support our multidisciplinary curriculum in a nurturing and engaging environment.
• Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based and structured activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and learning across classrooms.
• Communicate effectively with families about student progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

• College degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Cleared fingerprint background check.
• Current First-Aid and Infant/Child CPR certification, or ability to obtain within the first two weeks of employment.
• Experience in a licensed child care center preferred.
• Montessori experience or knowledge a plus.

Additional Information:

• Candidates will be provided with mandatory state training to meet Early Childhood Education minimum qualifications within three months of hire.
• Previous childcare experience is required.
