Infant and Toddler Teacher: Join Our Family!

Location: 2300 Howland Blvd, Deltona, FL

Our established, beloved preschool is looking for a dedicated and energetic Infant and Toddler Teacher to join our family in Deltona, FL! Schedule and Compensation

  • Employment Type: Flexible Part-Time, with opportunities for Full-Time growth
  • Hours Per Week: 28-40 Hours/Week (We prioritize work-life balance!)
  • Schedule Details: Monday-Friday, shifts are customized within the 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM window. We are open to discussing your ideal schedule and shift preferences!
  • Compensation: $14.50 - $16.50 per hour
  • Benefits: Paid Holidays, Sick Time, and Professional Development

Required Must-Haves for This Role

We require candidates to meet the following state licensing and personal qualifications:

  • Florida DCF Training Completion: Candidate must have completed the required 45-clock hours of introductory training mandated by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) or be able to complete them within the state-mandated timeframe upon hire.
  • A Warm Heart and Patient Spirit: A genuine love for infants and toddlers and the ability to create a safe, calming, and responsive classroom atmosphere.
  • Nurturing Focus: The ability to follow individual feeding and napping schedules and support early developmental milestones (sensory, language, and motor skills).
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong, collaborative relationships with parents and fellow staff. We partner with parents to ensure every child thrives!
  • Team Player: A willingness to collaborate with co-teachers and staff to maintain a smooth, happy, and well-organized center.

Your Experience (A Bonus!)

While we value passion above all, candidates with the following experience will be highly considered:

  • Prior Infant/Toddler Experience (Preferred): Proven experience working with children aged 0-3 years in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Understanding of Developmental Milestones: Knowledge of expected infant and toddler developmental benchmarks.
  • Education: CDA, Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or other related fields.

Daily Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment. Your duties include:

  • Creating a safe, calming, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
  • Implementing age-appropriate developmental activities (sensory exploration, language development, motor skills).
  • Maintaining accurate daily records of feedings, naps, and diaper changes, and sharing these updates with parents.
  • Ensuring the health and safety of children, adhering to all DCF licensing and center policies.
  • Engaging with parents daily regarding their child's activities and progress.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning atmosphere for the entire center.
