Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for toddlers, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves leading classroom activities, managing daily routines, and supporting the growth of young children through age-appropriate learning experiences. The Lead Toddler Teacher will also mentor assistant teachers and collaborate with parents to ensure each child's needs are met with care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning.
- Supervise and engage with toddlers during daily activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Manage classroom routines including snack time, nap schedules, diapering, and transitions between activities.
- Monitor and document each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage social skills and cooperation among children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with parents to communicate about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Mentor assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and company policies related to childcare standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in toddler care.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- First aid certification is preferred; ability to respond calmly to emergencies is essential.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining patience and professionalism.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques suitable for young children.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.09 - $19.25 per hour
