Lead Toddler Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead a classroom dedicated to nurturing the development of toddlers, fostering a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes early learning and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead daily classroom activities that support toddler development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytime, and sensory experiences
  • Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social interaction among children
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones
  • Monitor and document each child's progress, behavior, and individual needs to tailor activities accordingly
  • Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed; maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and caregiving
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular updates on their child's development and well-being
  • Supervise assistant teachers or caregivers in the classroom to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are maintained

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, especially with toddlers
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response in emergencies
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
  • Excellent classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively and compassionately
  • Familiarity with childcare regulations, safety standards, and licensing requirements
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and community partners
  • Background in special education or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous
