Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a classroom of toddlers, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes exploration and learning.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support childhood development milestones and foster curiosity.
• Ensure safety and well-being by maintaining vigilant supervision, adhering to all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures.
• Assume an equal share of the joint house-keeping responsibilities for the classroom
• Engage children in activities that promote social-emotional skills, language development, motor skills, and cognitive growth.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing developmental needs.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies that encourage cooperation and independence.
• Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and daily activities in compliance with licensing standards.
• Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, especially with toddlers.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Hands-on classroom management skills that foster a nurturing and structured environment.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in early childhood education is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members in a caregiving or teaching capacity.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children to promote positive interactions.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
