Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a classroom of toddlers, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes exploration and learning.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support childhood development milestones and foster curiosity.
- Ensure safety and well-being by maintaining vigilant supervision, adhering to all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures.
- Assume an equal share of the joint house-keeping responsibilities for the classroom
- Engage children in activities that promote social-emotional skills, language development, motor skills, and cognitive growth.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing developmental needs.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies that encourage cooperation and independence.
- Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and daily activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practice.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, especially with toddlers.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Hands-on classroom management skills that foster a nurturing and structured environment.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in early childhood education is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members in a caregiving or teaching capacity.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children to promote positive interactions.
