Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers aged 12–36 months depending on classroom. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and our blended curriculum.
- Classroom Environment: Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Child Assessment: Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to support children's development.
- Behavior Management: Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students. Additionally, support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored instructional strategies.
- Classroom Maintenance: Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring all materials are accessible.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices in teaching.
- Health and Safety: Provide supervision and organized attendance tracking. Provide first aid as necessary and ensure the health and safety of all children in your care.
- Toilet Training Support: Work with children and families on supportive toilet training that aligns with home practices and the readiness of the child.

Qualifications
- Level 3 or Level 2 PDIS Certificate
- Up to Date on PDIS State Required Trainings
- Ability to Pass State Required Background Checks
- Experience: Previous experience working with toddlers in a preschool or child care setting.
- First Aid Certification: First aid certification is preferred; training may be provided if not currently certified.
- Child Development Knowledge: Strong background in childhood development principles, including knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and preschool experience.
- Classroom Management: Experience with classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning environment.
- Behavior Management: Familiarity with behavior management strategies to effectively address diverse student needs.
