Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. As a Lead Teacher, you will implement innovative curriculum plans, manage classroom activities, and collaborate with families to support each child's unique journey. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy education, early intervention strategies, and holistic childhood development.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social interaction among toddlers.
- Manage daily classroom activities including lesson planning, circle time, physical education, and hands-on learning experiences aligned with Montessori principles and preschool standards.
- Monitor and support individual behavioral needs through positive behavior management techniques and tailored interventions for children requiring special education or additional support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress through assessments, standardized testing results, and observational records.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding developmental milestones, classroom activities, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent classroom management practices and uphold high standards of childcare and early childhood education.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, preferably with toddlers aged 1-3 years old.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early intervention methods, literacy education techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and implementing Montessori or similar educational approaches.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; experience with special education or child welfare is a plus.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.
