Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Create a warm, responsive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Ensure quality classroom management by establishing clear expectations, consistent routines, and positive behavior guidance strategies
- Monitor and document children’s progress and communicate with parents/guardians regularly
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Support children in daily routines including meals, toileting, and rest time
- Delegate tasks to the assistant teacher in a clear, respectful, and professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, professional environment
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and comply with licensing requirements
- Receive coaching and feedback from partnership organizations and implement suggested strategies within classrooms
Qualifications:
- CPL Level 3 or higher
- Relative experience with Creative Curriculum is required
- Child Development Associate
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear background check and TB screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in working with young children
- Conscious Discipline experience highly preferred
- Relative childcare experience required
- Teachers who are currently receiving coaching or registered for PD training through Preschool Promise or 4c for Children are highly preferred

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
