Lead Toddler Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Create a warm, responsive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Ensure quality classroom management by establishing clear expectations, consistent routines, and positive behavior guidance strategies
  • Monitor and document children’s progress and communicate with parents/guardians regularly
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
  • Support children in daily routines including meals, toileting, and rest time
  • Delegate tasks to the assistant teacher in a clear, respectful, and professional manner
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, professional environment
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and comply with licensing requirements
  • Receive coaching and feedback from partnership organizations and implement suggested strategies within classrooms

Qualifications:

  • CPL Level 3 or higher
  • Relative experience with Creative Curriculum is required
  • Child Development Associate
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Clear background check and TB screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine interest in working with young children
  • Conscious Discipline experience highly preferred
  • Relative childcare experience required
  • Teachers who are currently receiving coaching or registered for PD training through Preschool Promise or 4c for Children are highly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
