Lead Toddler Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically to toddlers’ developmental needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the critical early years of childhood development. Position is full-time Monday through Friday, working with children 2-2&1/2 years old.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, early intervention, and foundational math skills aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that supports toddler care, behavior management, and social-emotional development.
• Lead daily classroom activities including lesson planning, circle time, and hands-on learning experiences.
• Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's development, milestones, and classroom experiences.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and exploration.

Requirements

• CDA or Associates degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred. If not, at least 12 semester hours (must have 3 credits in infant/toddler) in early childhood can be accepted with experience working in a classroom.
• Proven experience working with children in a classroom setting, preferably with toddlers.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Background in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and coworkers.

Upon hire applicant must be willing to obtain TB testing, CPR and first aid training and continue professional growth through education trainings on child development topics yearly. Background check and fingerprinting through the State of Michigan will be completed prior to job offer.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
