Duties

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets the educational needs of students.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress in literacy and math, utilizing standardized testing where appropriate.
• Provide early intervention support for students who require additional assistance.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or interns as needed.

Requirements

Lead Teacher by DCFS standards.

• Strong knowledge of literacy education practices and math instruction techniques.
• Experience with early intervention strategies for young learners.
• Proven classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A genuine passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
