Duties
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum that meets the educational needs of students.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress in literacy and math, utilizing standardized testing where appropriate.
- Provide early intervention support for students who require additional assistance.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or interns as needed.
Requirements
Lead Teacher by DCFS standards.
- Strong knowledge of literacy education practices and math instruction techniques.
- Experience with early intervention strategies for young learners.
- Proven classroom management skills with the ability to create an inclusive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
