Lead Videographer – Outdoor / Hunting / Ranch Content

Job Overview

We are seeking a driven and highly capable Lead Videographer to lead the creation of authentic outdoor, hunting, fishing, and ranch-related content for Deer Camp Digital.

This is not a traditional videography role. You will operate as a key part of a fast-growing agency, responsible for capturing real-world experiences in the field and turning them into high-impact content across social, web, and brand platforms.

You will lead the visual storytelling process from field to final edit, working across ranch real estate, hunting properties, conservation organizations, and outdoor brands. This role requires someone who understands the outdoor lifestyle firsthand and can capture it the right way on camera.

This is a hands-on, field-first position with significant travel and production responsibility, paired with the opportunity to help build and scale a best-in-class outdoor content engine.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, filming, and editing of high-quality outdoor, ranch, and hunting-focused video content aligned with Deer Camp Digital’s brand and client objectives

Capture cinematic footage in real-world environments, including ranch properties, hunting and fishing experiences, and conservation-focused projects

Operate independently in the field, managing shoot logistics, gear, and production execution with minimal oversight

Cull and edit large volumes of footage efficiently, producing both short-form social content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) and long-form video (YouTube, brand films, property showcases)

Execute clean, professional post-production workflows using Adobe Premiere Pro, including color correction, audio cleanup, and pacing for digital platforms

Incorporate light motion graphics, text overlays, and visual elements where appropriate to enhance storytelling

Organize and maintain clean project files, media libraries, and workflows across multiple clients and projects

Collaborate directly with leadership and the creative team to execute content strategy and maintain consistency across deliverables

Travel regularly (50%+) to ranches, rural locations, and project sites across Texas and surrounding states.

Qualifications

Proven experience in videography within outdoor, hunting, fishing, ranch, or similar real-world environments (non-negotiable)

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with the ability to edit quickly without sacrificing quality

Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and what performs across modern social media platforms

Ability to capture high-quality footage in uncontrolled outdoor environments under varying conditions

Experience operating professional camera systems (Sony preferred), drones (Part 107 preferred), and stabilization equipment

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership and execute without constant direction

Willingness to travel frequently and work long, field-based production days

What Makes This Role Different

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk editing job. This is a field-driven, production-heavy role with real responsibility and real output.

You will be working on:

  • Ranch real estate across Texas and the West
  • Hunting and fishing content in real environments
  • Conservation storytelling with real impact
  • Outdoor brands that require authentic content

You will have:

  • Direct access to leadership and creative direction
  • A consistent pipeline of projects and production work
  • The opportunity to grow into a long-term leadership role within the company

Compensation & Structure

$58,000 – $63,000 base salary (based on experience and capability)

Equity opportunity for the right long-term fit

Equipment provided and travel paid for

Work Environment

Based in Bee Cave, Texas (in-office when not in the field)

Frequent travel to rural and outdoor locations

Fast-paced, high-output production environment with consistent workflow

Who This Is For

Someone who has real experience in the outdoor world and can step into that environment with confidence

Someone who takes pride in producing clean, efficient, high-quality work

Someone who wants to build something long-term, not just complete tasks

Who This Is NOT For

Editors without outdoor experience

Candidates focused on studio, wedding, or corporate-only work

Anyone who requires constant direction or cannot operate independently

Slow editors or low-output operators

Final Note

We are looking for someone who can step in quickly and start producing at a high level.

If you understand the outdoor world, can move fast, and take ownership of your work, this is a real opportunity to build something long-term with Deer Camp Digital.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
