Leadership Development Director

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Leadership Development Director to spearhead our organization’s leadership growth initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and oversee comprehensive leadership development programs that cultivate high-potential talent and strengthen organizational capacity. As a key driver of talent management and organizational excellence, you will lead efforts to develop future leaders through innovative training, coaching, and succession planning. Duties

  • Develop and execute comprehensive leadership development strategies aligned with organizational goals, incorporating best practices in adult education and instructional design.
  • Design engaging curriculum using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) methodology to create impactful learning experiences for diverse audiences.
  • Lead the creation of training content utilizing advanced learning technology tools such as Adobe Captivate, LMS (Learning Management System), SharePoint, and Workday to deliver scalable programs.
  • Facilitate leadership training sessions, workshops, and public speaking engagements that inspire and motivate participants while honing their skills in communication and conflict management.
  • Oversee talent management initiatives including succession planning, performance management, employee evaluation, and mentoring programs to develop a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to integrate leadership development into onboarding processes, employee relations strategies, and HR sourcing efforts.
  • Collect data through research and data collection tools to assess program effectiveness; utilize insights for continuous improvement in program design and delivery.
  • Manage program operations from inception through evaluation—ensuring seamless execution of training delivery, program management, and change management initiatives across the organization.

Experience

  • Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design (including ADDIE), and adult education principles within a corporate or organizational setting.
  • Extensive classroom experience delivering training programs on topics such as leadership skills, performance management, talent development, and HR management.
  • Strong knowledge of learning technology platforms including LMS systems like SharePoint or Workday; proficiency with Adobe Captivate is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in organization design, succession planning, change management, and human capital management strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present confidently in public speaking engagements; skilled in technical writing for training materials and program documentation.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; adept at research and data collection for program evaluation purposes.
  • Background in human resources or human resources management is preferred; familiarity with HRIS systems such as Salesforce or Workday enhances effectiveness.
