Business Analyst Lead/Manager
Term:
This is a contract leadership role expected to last 1–2 years (not guaranteed). Potential for contract-to-hire conversion based on performance and business needs.
Rate: $65-$80/Hr.

Orange (Hybrid – onsite Wednesdays and periodic multi-day onsite collaboration sessions)
Hours of Work:
Standard business hours with flexibility for extended hours and on-call support as required.
Position Summary
The Business Analyst Lead / Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing business analysis activities across multiple healthcare insurance application initiatives. This role provides strategic direction, governance, and hands-on leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality requirements, alignment with business objectives, and successful execution within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The position serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership, while mentoring Business Analysts and driving continuous improvement in business analysis practices.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Provide oversight, prioritization, and workload management across multiple BA resources and initiatives
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and methodologies for business analysis deliverables
- Act as the escalation point for complex requirements, stakeholder conflicts, and decision-making
Business Analysis Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement business analysis frameworks, governance models, and standards for requirements management
- Establish processes for requirements reviews, approvals, change control, and prioritization
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance BA effectiveness, efficiency, and quality
- Oversee business analysis planning, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational strategy
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders across the organization
- Lead high-impact workshops, executive-level discussions, and cross-functional alignment sessions
- Influence decision-making and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
- Ensure clear communication and shared understanding of business needs and solution approaches
Requirements Management & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee the full requirements lifecycle, including elicitation, documentation, validation, and approval
- Ensure traceability, consistency, and alignment of requirements across initiatives
- Review and validate complex business and technical requirements to ensure quality and completeness
- Guide teams in defining solution options and aligning requirements to business value
Process Improvement & Solution Design
- Lead business process analysis efforts to identify optimization, automation, and transformation opportunities
- Drive alignment between business needs and technology solutions, including vendor SaaS platforms
- Ensure delivered solutions meet regulatory, operational, and business requirements
- Promote reuse of requirements, artifacts, and best practices across projects
SDLC & Project Support
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, QA, and Development teams to ensure successful delivery
- Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies within the SDLC
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and impacts related to requirements and scope
- Provide strategic insights and reporting to leadership on project and BA performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, including senior-level responsibilities
- 2+ years of leadership, team lead, or management experience (direct or indirect)
- Strong experience in requirements lifecycle management, process modeling, and stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to lead large, complex initiatives in regulated environments
- Experience working within SDLC frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or health insurance industry
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications
- Experience working with enterprise tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, JAMA, or similar
- Experience working with vendor SaaS platforms and mapping requirements to existing functionality
Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour
