Lean Manufacturing Corporate Trainer

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Lean Manufacturing Corporate Trainer to deliver on-site, instructor-led training at client locations throughout New Jersey. This is not a full-time position; training engagements are scheduled as needed based on client demand.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in manufacturing or operational environments and a strong background in Lean principles, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This role is well-suited for Lean practitioners who enjoy coaching adult learners and helping organizations drive measurable performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and deliver Lean Manufacturing training programs tailored to corporate clients
  • Teach core Lean principles such as waste identification and elimination, value stream mapping, standard work, 5S, Kaizen, and problem-solving methodologies
  • Facilitate interactive workshops, group exercises, and discussions to reinforce practical application of Lean concepts
  • Customize training content to align with client’s industry, operations, performance goals, and participant experience levels
  • Incorporate real-world manufacturing examples to drive practical understanding and engagement
  • Maintain and update training materials to reflect current Lean methodologies, industry trends, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement roles
  • Hands-on experience applying Lean Manufacturing or operational excellence principles in real-world settings
  • Prior experience delivering corporate, technical, or workforce training (formal or informal)
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage adult learners
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites throughout New Jersey

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading Kaizen events, process improvement initiatives, or Lean transformations
  • Lean certifications (e.g., Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt)
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Familiarity with change management and employee engagement strategies

Employment Type & Schedule

  • Part-time / Contract / As-Needed
  • On-site only (client locations in New Jersey)
  • Training schedules vary based on client needs

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
