Position Overview:

The Lean Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operational functions. This role leverages Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure quality standards are upheld. They ensure that improvement changes are tested, documented and deployed efficiently. The role involves close collaboration with production, industrial engineers, and management to ensure improvements are executed, standardized and sustained. Hours: Monday – Thursday, 5:30am – 4:00pm

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Analyze current business and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate CI projects using Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving workshops.
  • Train and mentor on CI methodologies and tools.
  • Utilize film equipment to document processes and create standard work
  • Document processes, improvements, and outcomes for future reference

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • A passion for Continuous Improvement
  • 3+ years of experience in lean manufacturing or lean operations
  • Experience in using Lean and or Six Sigma tools
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping preferred
  • Experience working in Microsoft office applications
  • Siemens experience preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders
  • Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
  • Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Must be able to tolerate moderate noise levels and varying temperatures typical of a production setting.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $24.00/hr - $27.01/hr. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
