Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, and we are in search of a Lean/OpEx Continuous Improvement Senior Manager based at either our Burnsville or Faribault, MN office.

Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the Continuous Improvement Senior Manager is new to Trystar and will be key in shaping the organization for the next 5 years. This position will be leading the business changing Trystar Excellence System across our manufacturing footprint. Trystar is a high growth company (both organic and through acquisitions) and will require cross enterprise leadership from this team to ensure we deliver our customers high quality solutions in industry leading lead times. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent facilitation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Your contributions will be highly visible and the expectation is continued value returned back to the business.

In this role you will get to:

• Lead change initiatives across all parts of the manufacturing organization
• Help build, advance and drive maturity of the Trystar Excellence System (TES) in manufacturing
• Lead hands on activities to implement LEAN manufacturing solutions on our shop floors including the requirement to coach, mentor and train teams to perform more effectively
• Create and implement solutions that result in manufacturing productivity and improved on time delivery to our customers while enhancing quality
• Supporting the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements
• Benchmarking industry standards, trends, and advancements in continuous improvement techniques and technologies and incorporating best practices into the organization’s processes

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or Engineering.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Familiarity with standard root cause analysis methodologies (KT, is/is-not, fishbone, 5 whys, etc…)
• Experience in Toyota Manufacturing System tools to drive process improvement
• Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings to obtain idea generation and innovative process improvements
• Previous experience leading operations, manufacturing engineering or quality in a production environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and performance metrics
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and manage resistance to change
• Track record of sustaining change (assemblers to CEO)
• Ability to communicate project value to different organizational stakeholders
• Know how to use data to influence decision making
• Ability to create process maps, conduct analysis and implementation of solutions

Preferred skills:

• PMP certification
• Lean Sigma Black Belt
• Experience in electromechanical assembly
• Familiarity with Epicor
• Data fluency with intermediate statistical capability (Minitab, JMP)
• Experience owning lean transformations from discovery to sustaining

Additional Information:

• Position may require up to 35% travel within North America
• Fluency in Spanish or French is a plus
• Position reports to Trystar Business Optimization Director
