About the Role
MWH is seeking a Learning and Development (L&D) Program Manager with a strong background in instructional design to lead the strategy, design, and execution of training initiatives across our organization. This role is responsible for assessing business needs, developing engaging learning solutions, and managing programs that support employee growth, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate combines program management expertise with instructional design capabilities, ensuring that learning experiences are impactful, measurable, and aligned to business objectives.
This is a full-time, regular position, and will be based onsite in Broomfield, CO. Reporting to the Director of Talent.
Essential Functions
- Partner with business leaders and HR to identify learning needs and design enterprise-wide L&D programs.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of learning initiatives, including planning, implementation, communication, and evaluation.
- Oversee vendor partnerships to ensure successful delivery of training solutions.
- Design and develop engaging learning materials using adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Create blended learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led, virtual, microlearning, job aids) tailored to diverse audiences.
- Leverage technology, authoring tools, and learning management systems (LMS) to deliver scalable and interactive content.
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to assess training effectiveness and impact on performance.
- Continuously refine learning strategies based on feedback, analytics, and evolving business needs.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation in learning delivery.
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and subject matter experts in content creation and facilitation.
- Coach and mentor facilitators, trainers, or team members to uphold high-quality learning standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years focused on instructional design.
- Proven track record of managing enterprise-level L&D programs from design through execution.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and evaluation methodologies (Kirkpatrick, ROI frameworks).
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) and LMS platforms.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in instructional design, project management (PMP), or related L&D certifications (CPTD, CPLP, ATD).
- Background in leadership development or talent management programs.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000
