About this role:

  • The Learning and Professional Development Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging training programs that support employee growth and organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on facilitating learning experiences that are practical, inclusive, and aligned with strategic objectives. The trainer also plays a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives, using data to continuously improve content and delivery methods. The position collaborates across departments to ensure staff are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and motivation to perform at their best in a mission-driven environment.

  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Deliver engaging in‑person and virtual training sessions, including onboarding, communication, leadership, compliance, and digital literacy.
    • Adapt training methods to meet diverse learning needs and ensure sessions align with adult learning principles.
    • Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, data analysis, and feedback; recommend improvements based on results.
    • Coordinate training schedules, maintain training records, and support the new hire orientation process.
    • Assist with updating training materials and creating supplemental resources such as guides and job aids.
    • Identify training needs and develop customized learning solutions using workshops, e‑learning, and hands‑on activities.
    • Support employee engagement through onboarding support, recognition programs, events, and feedback initiatives.
    • Provide digital literacy support, including system navigation help, basic troubleshooting, and system update integration.
    • Collaborate with HR, IT, and department leaders to ensure smooth delivery and continued improvement of training programs.

What You’ll Need:


  • Minimum age: 18
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience delivering and facilitating training.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with training evaluation tools and methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual training platforms (Zoom, Teams, LMS)
  • Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
  • Ability to type 70+ WPM and navigate basic computer systems
  • Must pass background checks, DMV screening, Medicaid exclusion, fingerprinting (if SC resident <1 year), and provide 3 professional references

Physical Requirements:

This role involves regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on support. Reasonable accommodations are available.
