Job Description: Learning & Development (L&D) Manager

The Learning & Development Manager will play a central role in designing, implementing, and managing faculty and staff development programs to strengthen teaching, leadership, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Faculty Development
- Plan and deliver Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) focusing on teaching methods, classroom innovation, research skills, and technology adoption
- Introduce best practices in pedagogy and support faculty in building future-ready teaching capabilities.
- Facilitate workshops, peer-learning sessions, and mentoring programs.
2. Leadership & Staff Development
- Design and execute leadership and management training for Deans, HoDs, and administrators.
- Develop structured onboarding, induction, and continuous learning programs for staff.
- Build pathways for staff to upgrade professional, digital, and managerial skills.
3. Learning Ecosystem
- Implement and manage the university’s Learning Management System (LMS) for training and knowledge-sharing.
- Curate learning resources (internal and external) to support self-paced and blended learning.
- Build partnerships with external trainers, universities, and experts to bring fresh perspectives.
4. Impact Measurement
- Conduct training needs analysis in consultation with leadership and departments.
- Define and track KPIs: participation, completion rates, satisfaction, and skill application.
- Publish regular reports on the effectiveness and impact of L&D initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Education, HR, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in higher education or corporate environments.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and facilitation.
- Proven ability to build and deliver impactful development programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
