Learning Support Assistant (Fluent French)

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide school support for a child in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate must be ADEK approved and a native or fluent speaker with strong experience supporting children in a school environment.

This role involves providing academic, behavioral, and developmental support during school hours, while working closely with the child, parents, teachers, and relevant professionals where required.

This is a full-time or part-time role, with compensation based on agreed hourly rates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 learning support to the child within the school setting
• Assist with focus, classroom engagement, and structured routines
• Support academic development, including reading, writing, numeracy, and classroom tasks
• Help the child follow instructions, complete activities, and participate appropriately
• Implement behavioral and learning support strategies where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and professionals
• Maintain a calm, patient, and positive learning environment
• Provide regular updates to parents where required

Ideal Candidate

• ADEK approved
• Native or fluent speaker
• Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Shadow Teacher, Teaching Assistant, or School Support Staff
• Background in education, psychology, childcare, or special needs support
• Experience supporting children with ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, or developmental needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills and patience with children
• Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to commute
• Available for consistent school support hours
