Leasing Agent

Compass Property Management is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Part-Time Apartment Leasing Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for prospective residents, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while helping individuals and families find their next home.

This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. During some weekends, you will be the primary on-site team member, so we’re looking for someone who can confidently manage the leasing office, prioritize tasks, and provide outstanding customer service with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective residents and conduct apartment and community tours.
• Respond promptly to phone, email, text, and online leasing inquiries.
• Follow up with prospective residents and assist them throughout the application and leasing process.
• Explain lease terms, community policies, and rental qualifications.
• Process rental applications and maintain accurate leasing records.
• Ensure all leasing activities comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
• Coordinate with the property management team to ensure apartments are move-in ready.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional leasing office and model units.
• Build positive relationships with current and prospective residents while helping achieve occupancy goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in leasing, property management, sales, hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using computers and learning property management software (AppFolio experience is a plus).
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws is preferred or a willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work two weekends per month.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
