Leasing Collections Specialist

Position Summary

The Leasing Collections Specialist will be a working team member whose focus is on collections with support in the customer service and operations areas as needed. This position is responsible for initiating customer calls with the objective of handling department delinquency.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Make customer phone calls to collect payments
  • Make customer phone calls to build rapport for workout solutions
  • Manage a customer base and correspond to the broker with the performance
  • Research accounts to discover pertinent information and issues
  • Document all communication with customers in the company’s database with detailed notes on the nature of each interaction and payment arrangements agreed upon.
  • Prepare written delinquency correspondence according to policy
  • Respond to calls and emails from brokers, insurance companies and provide information/documentation as requested
  • Coordinate problem resolution with appropriate team members
  • Provide verbal or written customer follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to other projects or tasks as assigned by management

Competencies & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Consumer/Commercial finance experience preferred
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Office and web-based applications
  • Ability to independently identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Bias toward organization and attention to detail
  • Positive and professional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong work ethic
  • Driven to get results individually and as a team member
