The Leasing Consultant assists current and future residents in all leasing related tasks and acts as the face of the Community. They maintain an upbeat attitude and are responsible for creating and maintaining a welcoming living space for all residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain occupancy above 95% striving toward 100% with a sales-oriented mindset
  • Assists future residents with finding a perfect apartment to call home
  • Provide a positive and genuine experience to all current and future residents
  • Using strategic consultative selling skills to achieve 100% Community Occupancy
  • Use high level communication skills when dealing with current and future resident
  • Prioritizes tour path and ensures curb appeal is up to par on property – Communicate any feedback to Maintenance team and Community Manager
  • Ensures leases are complete and correct
  • Expert in using marketing techniques and social media to promote community and its events
  • Strong ability to mediate and assess current and future resident feedback
  • Assists with resident retention activities
  • Scheduling and following up with progress of maintenance work orders and future move ins
Requirements
  • Position requires a minimum of 1-2 years on-site as a Leasing Consultant and/or Assistant Property Manager

  • Demonstrate ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate appropriate course of action.

  • Effectively convey ideas, images, and goals to a diverse group of personalities.

  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.

  • Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.

  • Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as community software applications.

  • Experience with OneSite software is preferred.

  • Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.

  • Participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws.

  • Be able to work evenings and weekends.

  • Present self in a neat, clean and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.

  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook.
