Leasing Specialist – Be the First Impression of Our Community!

We’re looking for a Leasing Specialist who will be the face of our community — welcoming prospects, showcasing apartments, and helping future residents confidently choose their new home.
This is more than showing apartments — you’ll play a key role in leasing success, resident satisfaction, and maintaining a vibrant, high-occupancy community alongside a supportive, energetic team.
What You’ll Do – Every Day Is Different!
As our Leasing Specialist, you’ll be on the front lines of leasing, marketing, and resident engagement:
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing laws, ADA, FCRA, and all applicable regulations
- Greet prospective residents warmly and provide engaging tours of the community
- Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and leads to convert interest into on-site appointments
- Maintain accurate guest cards and complete timely follow-ups with prospects
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct apartment showings
- Present apartment features, pricing, and policies clearly to help prospects make confident decisions
- Generate new leases and meet or exceed monthly leasing goals
- Process applications, verification's, and prepare complete move-in paperwork
- Ensure smooth, welcoming move-ins and support resident retention initiatives
- Maintain organized and complete resident files
- Assist with rent collection and follow up on delinquent accounts when needed
- Serve as a communication link between prospects, residents, maintenance, and management
- Track and follow up on work orders to ensure excellent customer service
- Perform daily curb appeal checks to ensure the property is tour-ready at all times
- Report property deficiencies and concerns to the Property Manager
- Shop competitor communities to stay informed on pricing, specials, and market trends
- Lead and support social media efforts by posting announcements, photos, promotions, and events
- Participate in resident events, promotions, and community-building activities
- Support the Property Manager with overall property performance including occupancy, turnover, and efficiency
- Maintain knowledge of and enforce all community and company policies
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support leasing success and community operations

What We’re Looking For:
- 1+ years of leasing, sales, or customer service experience in property management or related industry.
- Strong customer service mindset with a passion for helping people
- Familiarity with leases, real estate documents, and Fair Housing regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Yardi, Knock CRM experience is a plus
- Flexible schedule, including weekends as needed
- Self-motivated, energetic, and goal-oriented
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. This role works closely with the Property Manager and on-site team.
Physical & Work Requirements:
Primarily an on-site office and community-based role. Regular walking, standing, touring apartments, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Reasonable accommodations provided if needed.
