Leasing Consultant (Sales & Customer Service - Real Estate) (FT or PT)

Position: Leasing Consultant (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Hort Properties is one of the fastest-growing rental housing companies in the area (you’ve probably seen our blue signs around town!) We are looking for a friendly, motivated Leasing Consultant to help prospective residents find the right apartment and guide them through the rental process. This role is great for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and closing sales. The Leasing Consultant will handle all leasing activities and create a great experience for our current and prospective tenants. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our future residents. If you have experience in customer service, banking, hospitality, retail, or sales, you may be a great fit!

RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

· Schedule, coordinate, and conduct unit showings with prospective tenants, working flexible hours when required

· Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with current and prospective tenants

· Obtain knowledge of entire rental portfolio to assist prospective tenants in selecting the best unit for their needs

· Advertise rental units and update online listings regularly

· Respond to all leads and calls in a timely fashion

· Maintain communication with prospective tenants and assist with the application process

· Prepare standard lease documents and assist tenants with the move-in process

· Operate in compliance with all Fair Housing Laws and other regulations

· Any projects or additional duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Preferred 1+ year experience with sales, leasing, and/or customer service

· Preferred 1+ year experience with AppFolio, Yardi, or similar platforms

· Strong communication and time management skills

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF

· Minimum education: High School Diploma

· Access to a reliable automobile, cell phone with calling and texting capabilities, and access to Wi-Fi – REQUIRED

· Must be willing to travel to both Mattoon and Charleston as needed

· Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a flexible schedule as needed
