Job Summary
The Apartment Leasing Associate is responsible for leasing apartments, providing exceptional customer service to prospects and residents, and planning engaging community events that enhance resident satisfaction and retention. This role combines sales, relationship-building, and creative event planning to foster a vibrant apartment community.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Sales
- Greet and assist prospective residents in person, by phone, and online
- Conduct property tours and effectively present apartment features and amenities
- Qualify prospects and follow up to convert leads into leases
- Prepare and execute lease agreements and renewals accurately and timely
- Maintain knowledge of pricing, availability, promotions, and market trends
- Meet or exceed leasing and occupancy goals
Resident Relations
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current residents
- Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests
- Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and resident communications
- Promote a positive, welcoming, and professional community environment
Event Planning & Community Engagement
- Plan, organize, and execute resident events, social gatherings, and community activities
- Manage event budgets, vendors, supplies, and logistics
- Promote events through email, flyers, social media, and on-site signage
- Encourage resident participation and engagement
- Gather feedback and evaluate event success to improve future programming
Administrative & Marketing Support
- Maintain accurate records in property management software
- Assist with social media content, online reviews, and marketing campaigns
- Ensure leasing office, model units, and common areas are clean and presentable
- Support fair housing compliance and company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
- Previous leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Event planning, marketing, or community engagement experience a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Outgoing, professional, and customer-focused personality
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with computers, CRM, and property management software
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Ability to walk the property and conduct tours
- Weekend and occasional evening availability required for events
- Ability to lift up to [25–50] pounds for event setup
