Position Overview
Northern University is seeking a qualified, motivated, and dedicated Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) / Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) for its Allied Health Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, supervising practical training, supporting curriculum development, and contributing to accreditation and compliance processes (AHPC/HEC).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lectures to BS MLS/MLT students in assigned subjects
- Conduct and supervise laboratory practical sessions in accordance with curriculum standards
- Develop, update, and improve course materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools
- Coordinate and monitor clinical training placements and internships for students
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements of AHPC and HEC
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic planning, and quality assurance processes
- Assist in student mentoring, advising, and academic support
- Contribute to research, publications, and professional development activities
- Support examination processes, grading, and academic record maintenance
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification:
- MS/MPhil in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pathology, or relevant Allied Health discipline (HEC recognized)
- Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications or relevant certifications
- Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching or clinical experience (preferred)

Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of subject knowledge in laboratory sciences
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage labs and supervise students effectively
- Familiarity with accreditation standards (AHPC/HEC)
