Job Summary
The Lecturer in Logistics is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, developing curriculum, conducting research, and contributing to academic administration within the Logistics and Supply Chain programs. The role requires a strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, transportation systems, procurement, and emerging industry technologies.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning
- Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate modules in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Develop and update course materials in line with current industry trends and academic standards.
- Facilitate lectures, tutorials, workshops, case studies, and practical simulations.
- Supervise student projects, internships, and research dissertations.
- Assess and grade assignments, examinations, and coursework in a timely manner.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
2. Curriculum Development
- Contribute to curriculum design and review to ensure industry relevance and academic rigor.
- Integrate digital tools and logistics technologies (e.g., ERP systems, transportation management systems) into teaching.
- Support accreditation and quality assurance processes.
3. Research & Scholarship
- Conduct research in logistics, supply chain management, procurement, transportation, or related fields.
- Publish in reputable academic journals and present at conferences.
- Seek research funding and collaborate with industry partners where applicable.
4. Industry Engagement
- Maintain strong links with logistics and supply chain industry stakeholders.
- Facilitate guest lectures, site visits, and industry-based projects.
- Support student placement and internship opportunities.
5. Academic Administration
- Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.
- Contribute to student recruitment, marketing initiatives, and community outreach.
- Support examination moderation and academic quality processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field (PhD preferred).
- Relevant industry experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Teaching experience in higher education or professional training environment.

- Strong knowledge of logistics systems, inventory management, procurement, transportation, and warehousing.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software.
