Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled LED Video Wall Technician to join our events and exhibitions team. The role involves the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and dismantling of LED video wall systems for live events, exhibitions, conferences, and corporate shows. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LED display technology, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure in dynamic event environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and operate LED video walls and related AV equipment at events and exhibitions.
- Handle signal flow management, including video processors, switchers, and controllers.
- Perform pre-event checks to ensure all video systems are functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly during live events.
- Coordinate with lighting, sound, and staging teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Maintain and service LED panels, processors, and associated cabling.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and technical requirements during installation and operation.
- Provide on-site technical support and liaise with clients to meet event requirements.
- Assist in equipment inventory management and upkeep.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an LED Video Wall Technician or similar AV technician role in events/exhibitions.
- Strong understanding of LED panel technology, pixel pitch, brightness, and resolution.
- Proficiency in operating video processors (e.g., Novastar, Pixel hue )
- Knowledge of video standards (HDMI, SDI, DVI, DisplayPort, etc.) and signal distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and stage plans.
- Hands-on skills with rigging and safe mounting of LED structures.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills under time-sensitive conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or training in AV systems / LED processing.
- Experience with media servers (Resolume, Watchout, disguise, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of lighting and sound systems for integrated event production.
- Prior experience in large-scale exhibitions, concerts, or corporate events
