About Us

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Legal & Accounting Assistant to support both our legal and accounting operations. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong administrative skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment.

Position Summary

The Legal & Accounting Assistant will provide administrative support for legal documentation, client communications, bookkeeping functions, and general office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in both legal and financial environments and is looking for long-term professional growth.

The successful candidate must be comfortable communicating with clients, vendors, and government agencies in both English and Spanish.

Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Support

  • Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documents and client files.
  • Assist with document collection and case management.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, government agencies, and third parties.
  • Monitor document compliance and filing requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Assist with document translation and bilingual communications when needed.

Accounting Support

  • Assist with bookkeeping and data entry.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and maintain financial records.
  • Support payroll and accounts payable/receivable functions.
  • Prepare reports and assist with financial documentation.
  • Work closely with accounting staff on various projects.
  • Communicate with English-speaking and Spanish-speaking clients regarding administrative and accounting matters.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Previous administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, legal assistant, or office experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
  • Experience working in a law firm, accounting firm, tax office, or professional services environment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
