Job Overview

Established west side law firm seeking full time secretary. Office experience necessary. Experience in a law office with transactional, real estate, or estate planning work a plus. The candidate must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.

Legal Secretary Responsibilities

Effectively communicate with lawyers and clients

Answer and direct phone calls and emails

Assist with scheduling

Submit on-line filings

Read, review, verify and route reports and legal documents

Draft, revise and edit letters and other written documents

Navigate office technology including Word, Word Perfect and Excel

Collect and analyze information

Input attorney time, prepare invoices and track payments

Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential

Skills

Proven work experience as a secretary or administrative assistant

Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques

High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Integrity and professionalism

High school diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
