Legal and Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Review and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research on various matters affecting Tawzea.
  • Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance issues.
  • Review and edit Tawzea, its subsidiaries, and affiliates constitutional documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations and breaches of legal guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
  • Revise procedures reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
  • Draft, modify and implement internal policies and procedures in relation to compliance aspects.
  • Collaborate with other appropriate departments to monitor the enforcement of standards and regulations to ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations.
  • Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks and identify mechanisms for mitigating such risks.
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training on compliance matters.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on any compliance issues arising that impact Tawzea and Tawzea Group.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Law/Legal entity (KSA and/or Middle East experience is strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university.
  • Member of the Saudi Bar Association.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi Arabia laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • CME is preferable.
