Legal Assistant for Our Small Family-Focused Law Practice

About the Role:

Fine Point Law is a family-oriented law firm with a mission to improve the lives of families and small business owners. We are looking for a sharp, driven, and friendly Legal Assistant to join our team for the long term.

Position Details:

- Type: Full-time or Part-time, depending on your skills and interests.

- Location: Downtown Santa Cruz

- Hours: Typical business hours with occasional evening or weekend events. Ideally, part-time worker comes in more days for less hours (example: M-F for 4 hours), rather than fewer long days. We could work around another job or child care hours, for example. We will also consider full time applicants.

Responsibilities:

- Detail-Oriented Tasks: Complete financial forms and handle tasks like scanning documents with high accuracy.

- Tech Savvy: Manage and master various databases and systems essential for serving our clients.

- Team Collaboration: Work independently and creatively problem-solve to improve efficiency.

- Client Interaction: Help guide them through our process, and ensure the accurate completion of their financial forms.

- Marketing Support: Assist with marketing efforts, including community outreach, setting up speaking engagements, and identifying opportunities for firm visibility.

Requirements:

-Tech Proficiency: Comfortable working with multiple technology platforms and databases.

- Problem Solving: Think on your feet and make smart decisions.

- Attention to Detail: Strong memory for detail and process, observant, and able to keep lawyers on track.

- Adaptability: Ready to handle a variety of tasks, from making coffee to filling the printer with paper.

Compensation:

- Base pay plus bonuses based on reaching overall firm goals.
